Hutch redo

Since we moved last year, I have had a hard time incorporating things I had in the old house into the new one. I am sure you will notice that with some of my posts. I am trying to update pieces I already have and fit them into this house, including this piece:

I had redone this piece several years ago. I still loved it this way, but it didn’t fit into our new house. So I dragged out some creamy colored paint and changed the look. I also thought it would look better without the doors.

I do like it. I may put some cute paper in the back, the way I did with the black and white paper.

Spray painting and jelly beans

When we moved into this house, I knew I wanted to incorporate some turquoise in several of the rooms. The kitchen was the first one that came to mind. With several painting projects underway, I found time to paint this red gumball machine a pretty turquoise.

It was an easy project and I am glad I did it. For spring, it has some jelly beans. During winter, we had some chocolate in there and for Halloween, we used candy corn. The candy corn didn’t come out as easily. This kids love this little candy machine. ( I do too, but don’t tell anyone. 😉
