A chandelier

Awhile back, I found an awesome deal on a chandelier at the Peddlers Mall. I just love that place! You never know what you will find!
I thought it would be perfect above either of our tables. It just needed a little paint.
It started out with a rubbed metal look.

Since I am adding a lot of cream to the space, I thought the chandelier would look good with the same color. I just taped it off and painted it a pretty cream color. So easy!

It did come with large shades and a few crystals. I hope to get it hung soon!

Reindeer Moss

While shopping at the Dollar Tree the other day, I spotted some reindeer moss. Only $1! So, I bought a few bags, figuring I could find something to do with it.

I found a wooden C at Hobby Lobby. Remember to take a coupon or use the one on there app. I am so glad I can just go in there and show my coupon on my phone. I rarely plan to go there. It is usually just a spur of the moment type thing.

So, this is what I had.

I have a yellow wreath on my front door and thought a C would look good on it.

This reindeer moss is messy stuff. I started on the edges and then filled in the inside.

I had to keep this guy from eating the moss that fell on the floor! 😉

And, here it is on my wreath. Now, I am thinking of all kinds of things I can do with this moss!

Have you ever used reindeer moss?

Birthday shopping

I had so much fun yesterday! We went to Cincinnati for a little shopping and fun. First, we stopped here:

Ballard Designs and Frontgate outlets

I wish I could say I brought a lot home from here, but that is not the case. Sure, there were plenty of things I would have liked to. But, even after the discount, I decided it wasn’t really that great of a deal. (Thanks to stores like Homegoods and TJ Maxx) It was fun doing some browsing there.

Afterward, we headed here:

Now, Ikea is a different story. My cart was full! I did go in with a list of things I wanted. I pretty much stuck with that list. I will have to show everyone my goodies as soon as I start getting it out of the car! 😉

I did find a fiddle leaf tree! I was hoping to get one of these!

After Ikea, we headed to Restore and the Ohio Vally Antique Mall. The mall was amazing! I picked a Pyrex bowl there. I found a lot of other goodies there, but no good steals.

After an amazing dinner at La Rosa’s, I stopped at The Christmas Tree Shoppes. Now, I love this place. I picked up some Waverly cushions and table linens to match. I love the good deals you can find there. I noticed some Pfaltzgraf dishes for $1.50! Amazing!

Has anyone else found some good deals this week? I would love for you to share!

Today, I am going to sit back and relax. After all, it is my birthday.

World Market

Have you been into World Market lately? There are so many good finds!

I am in love with this Pyrex looking dish.

Drying racks

All of the turquoise!

These baskets

I might have to save for these chairs.

Vintage looking scale

Dining benches

Pretty prints

Wood bowls

Bird feeder

Pretty crochet

I would have loved to buy two of everything. But, alas, that is not in the budget. But, I did manage to leave with this guy!

He even has a tail on the back!

So, hurry to World Market! There are a lot of sales going on right now!

Thrift store finds

Last week, I found a few things while out shopping. I made my usual rounds to Goodwill, Target, and Hobby Lobby. I was so excited to score a few good deals!

The baskets are just so adorable! The green bucket is originally from Hobby Lobby, but Goodwill had it for 50 cents! One of the baskets is in the shape of a bird’s nest. I just love it. I haven’t decided where I am going to use them.

I also found this fabric in the Hobby Lobby clearance! I am thinking a pillow and some burlap crafts!

Last, but certainly not least, I found this panel on clearance at Target for $8.26! It looks like it was a catalog return. I am trying to decide if I should order another one, or just use it alone. I haven’t decided.

As for now, it is snowing here again. I am ready for Spring!
